The 53barchetta comes with either an aluminium or glass fibre body, according to each buyer's desires. Power is provided by one of the latest 2 litre Alfa Romeo JTS twin overhead camshaft engines developing 162 bhp.
Naturally the front mounted engine drives through the rear wheels for greater driver involvement!
Transmission is through a 5 or 6 speed gear box and a precisely located De Dion rear axle.
